Bei Websites mit Frames kann es passieren, dass ein Besucher (z.B. über einer Suchmaschine) direkt auf einen Frame zugreift, ohne dass das zugehörige gesamte Frameset geladen und sichtbar wird. In diesem Fall ist eine weitere Navigation in der Website in der Regel unmöglich. Um diese unerfreuliche Eigenschaft von Frames zu umgehen, kann ein Frameloader eingesetzt werden. Dieser sorgt dafür, dass immer das gesamte Frameset geladen wird, auch wenn der Einstieg in die Website über einen Unterframe erfolgt. Beim Einsatz von Frames sollte immer der "Noframes"-Bereich optimiert werden (siehe auch Noframes-Bereich).
